OLUMO ROCK; Is a Mountain in the southwestern part of Nigeria. It is located in Abeokuta, Ogun state. This rock served as a fortress for the people of Egbaland during the inter-tribal wars. The mountain is 137km tall which makes for a beautiful sight seeing across Egbaland. There are man-made stairs and elevators to take visitors around the mountain.
IDANRE HILLS; Is a hill in the southwestern part of Nigeria. It is located in the small town of Idanre, ondo state.It is a hill with 682 steps above the ground. There are several side attractions in Idanre hills like the suspended lake, shrine. According to records, the hill is over 500 million years old.
GURARA Waterfalls; It is located in Gurara, a local government area of Niger state. It is one of the famous tourist centres in Nigeria with beautiful and breathtaking sights. The waterfall is about 30metres high. This waterfall is named after 2 Gods, Gura and Rara. There are different areas of the waterfall. The lookout point, the sandy shore part where you can do picnics and barbecue and the rocky front at the waterfall base where you can sunbathe. It is a very pulsating site to behold.
IKOGOSI WARM & COLD SPRING; It is a tourist attraction located in Ekiti state, the southwestern part of Nigeria. It is a warm and cold water resort. These two springs meet, forming a confluence with each spring maintaining their temperatures. The beautiful vegetation & gardens makes it one of the best tourist attractions to visit as lovers of nature.
LEKKI CONSERVATION CENTRE; This is one of the best and most visited nature reserves in Nigeria. It houses the longest canopy walkway in Africa.It is a place to walk on a small suspension bridge. Side attractions include small little monkeys to watch. It is endowed with an abundance of plant and animal life.
ELEKO BEACH; Is a tourist attraction located along the lekki- Epe expressway Lagos. It is quite different from other beaches. It is clean and less rowdy. The beach boasts of tiny huts with thatched roof to shade for fin and pleasure. Side Attractions include Horse rides, handball and dancing competitions.
ERIN- IJESHA WATERFALL; This is the most popular waterfall in Nigeria. The waterfall is about 10 metres high. It is located in Oriade local government area, osun-state. This waterfall was discovered by hunters. The fall features 7 floors on which the Abake village is situated.
YANKARI GAME RESERVE; It is a large wildlife park located in Bauchi state, Nigeria. It is one of the earliest tourist attractions in Nigeria and as such played a crucial role in promotion of tourism in Nigeria. The yankari game wildlife features different animals from Bush elephants to waterbucks, monkeys, antelopes, and hippopotamus.
Kainji Lake; Kainji lake is a dam across the Niger River.It is in the North central part of Nigeria. It is the largest man-made Lake in Nigeria. It was built to serve as a source of irrigation for farmers. The kainji lake game reserve preserves include baboons, hyenas and antelopes.
OBUDU MOUNTAIN RESORT; It was formerly known as obudu cattle ranch. It is the only place in Nigeria where snow falls. It is located in Cross River state, Nigeria. It is one of the most visited places in Nigeria. Side Attractions include canopy walkway, horseback riding & natural swimming pool.
NATIONAL ARTS THEATRE; This is also a tourist attraction with a different beautiful sight. It is located in Iganmu-surulere, Lagos Nigeria. This houses the collection of the National Gallery of Modern Nigeria Art. It was constructed in 1976 in preparation for the Festival of Arts & culture ( FESTAC).
IBENO BEACH; It is one of the beaches on the Atlantic ocean along the shorelines of Ibeno. It is the longest sand beach in west Africa. It is located in Ibeno, local government area of Akwa ibom state, Nigeria. It is one of the tourist attractions in Nigeria.
ZUMA ROCK; This is a beautiful centre located in the Nation’s capital Abuja. It is called “the gateway of Abuja ”. The rock is a 300 metres fall surrounded by beautiful vegetation. The Zuma rock served as a fortress for the Gbagyi people during intertribal wars with neighboring towns. The Zuma Rock is one of the 7 wonders of Africa.
OSUN-OSOGBO GROVE; This is the only tourist attraction in Nigeria that has sacred shrines and sculptures with several Art for the honour of the Goddess of Oshun. It is located in Osun state, Nigeria.
