She bled

Glancing the bay through the window,
Her quiet morning began.
Already hating the day, hating the life.
She started to chase the ghost happiness that resided inside her.
Drowning her sorrows in a deep bowl of cereal,
Her demons awakened and all she could think about was how much she wanted to flee.
Her heart aching hard, as she fed her soul with a morning meal.
And running through her head was a million thoughts with less grace for life,
She began to bleed.
Evicted by happiness,
Her troubled soul jumps through the waters,
Reaching to the highest reach of the ocean, she thinks of letting go.
Her eyes release the deep troubles of her losses,
Yet again life reminding her of the deepest griefs she has been trying to forget.
She cried for help, but no one heard.
All she heard was the sound of her reverberations,
Bouncing back and forth retelling her sad tales, as she bleeds again.
She closed her eyes,
And she started to get the courage,
The valour to admit how much peace she felt from that darkness,
She stayed that way, and she enjoyed the feeling.
She got so much peace,
It’s so silent, like death, it felt like an escape.
And she never knew what more she could do for herself,
Rather than, the ritual of inhale and exhale,
It gets old sometimes,
She wished she could get more
Instead of just lying there lifelessly, bleeding.
