Surviving 2021

We’ve gotten to a point where we learnt survival of the fittest even when we didn’t want to.
We’ve fought ourselves; our demons cursed our reflections and still couldn’t find stability.
In-fact stability was none existent this year,
Retrenchment Suicide Divorce Mental Health Breakdowns
Bank Repossessions Depression Anxiety
And a bout of other undiagnosed mental disorders.
We’ve fought for survival so much most forgot what being properly human is like.
Well, we all kind of forgot that…
Drowning while walking on dry ground,
Desperate for a new dawn that grants peace and normality we’re used to
Even the grim reaper must have been depressed
Be grateful if you’re reading this
Be grateful the break of dawn still feels warm on your skin every morning
